INFILTRACIONES DE PUNTOS DOLOROSOS, TENDONES, ARTICULACIONES Y NERVIOS PERIFÉRICOS
Se realizan en una sala de procedimientos. Se utilizan referencias anatómicas, estimulación eléctrica o ecografía para guiar la punción y luego se inyecta un antinflamatorio (cortisona) asociado con un anestesico local (bupivacaina); en algunos casos, se aplica un relajante en los musculos (toxina botulínica) o sustancias de suplementación viscoelastica dentro de las articulaciones (acido hialurónico).
El médico tratante emite la orden del procedimiento y una vez que el paciente ha tramitado la autorización o ha realizado el pago se agenda la fecha y hora de la intervención. Debe presentarse media hora antes, con un acompañante. Luego de la interveción, permanece en observación al menos por 1 hora. Se entrega al paciente un informe escrito con la descripción del procedimiento.
